Equipment Engraving
What is Equipment Engraving?
Equipment engraving allows you to modify or add new options to your equipment, either randomly or by specifying the desired changes.
Equipment engraving necessitates the Ancient Book of Transformation (for basic engraving) and the corresponding essence of the equipment, such as "Twin Blades of Shadow Assassins (Essence)."
The aforementioned item enables you to modify the type and quantity of additional options bestowed upon the item.
However, the total number of default options (Max) provided for each piece of equipment remains unchanged. For example, weapons with 2 additional options can only be modified within a range of 2.
The same type of option can be applied to one equipment multiple times. For example, the "Strength Attack" option can be applied in three overlapping ways: Strength Attack 1, Strength Attack 2, and Strength Attack 3 for One-Handed Sword (Rare).
Engraving Materials
1) Ancient Book of Transformation - Basic Engraving
This enables the random modification of the types and quantities of options that the equipment possesses.
The Ancient Book of Transformation can be acquired through various means such as field hunting, specific dungeons, or a combination of recipes.
2) Essence - Exclusive Engraving
Essence is a specialized engraving material that is exclusively used to change options for certain types of equipment.
It is matched one-on-one with specific equipment and is also referred to as "the Essence of OOO."
Exclusive engraving is performed using the essence and is applied randomly within the range of options for the equipment.
Essence can be obtained through various production methods, such as combining recipes.
Basic Engraving - Ancient Book of Transformation

2 | Select Equipment to Engrave | Choose the equipment you wish to engrave from the Equipment List. |
3 | Equipment to Engrave | The chosen equipment will be registered in the engraving slot. You can replace it from the equipment list on the right after pressing the X button. |
4 | Material | When you select equipment for engraving, the Ancient Book of Transformation will be automatically registered as a material. |
5 | Engrave | The Engrave button will be activated if you have a sufficient quantity of the Ancient Book of Transformation. Selecting the Engrave button will open a new window (6). From here, selecting the Engrave button again will consume the registered material and initiate the engraving process. |
Once the engraving process starts, the registered material will be consumed and the result window will appear.
After reviewing the results, you can choose to retain the previous options by selecting the Restore button. (However, even if you choose to restore, the consumed materials will not be recovered.)
When you select Confirm, the modified options after engraving will be applied.
Exclusive Engraving Process
Exclusive engraving can only modify the options of specific equipment options., and it requires a specific material that matches the equipment for the engraving process.
Exclusive engraving increases the probability of obtaining a higher number of options for the equipment.
The exclusive engraving menu follows the same basic process, and when you select equipment eligible for exclusive engraving, the corresponding material will be automatically registered.
Once the engraving process starts, the registered material will be consumed and the result window will appear.
After reviewing the results, you can choose to retain the previous options by selecting the Restore button. (However, even if you choose to restore, the consumed materials will not be recovered.)
When you select Confirm, the modified options after engraving will be applied.
